For those of you in the Portland area - this is an excellent workshop for anyone has a strong interest in or challenge with the visual connection with other humans. We'll talk about how to make it more comfortable, more intimate, and more rewarding in a safe and supporting way. Come check it out!! In casual interactions eye contact is a balancing act – too much and someone might think you are staring, too little and others might think you’re avoiding them or lying. Yet this connection and sharing can also be very rewarding because only through eye contact can we experience the full truth of any other person. This True Living workshop begins with a discussion on intimacy and its relationship to eye gazing. With further discussion we’ll explore the concepts of why eye contact can be so intense, emotional, and intimate and seek to overcome the fear. The activities will start with the process of self-exploration and connection to build comfort and understanding and then move into eye gazing with others with the intention of finding deeper and more powerful connection. The workshop will conclude with an open discussion about our experiences and ways to take the learning back into our everyday lives. Please bring a handheld mirror with you for some of the exercises. About Angel Angel True has a passion for communication and the study of human interaction. He took his first communication class at the age of 11 and has been studying communication, human interaction, and self-transformation ever since. For over 20 years he has continued to study and expand his knowledge as well as teach these skills to others.
